11+ Rules to Suit Up!
for modern guys

Even if you are a student or work as a freelance (home office) there will be times that you should wear a suit.  Any man can wear it but not every man can wear it right. You should also keep in mind that women are vulnerable when it comes to uniforms and suits. So… You have to learn how to pull it off.

  • First things first! Fit is everything. Especially for suits. Even the world's most expensive suit will look bad if it doesn’t fit you properly. Not too big, not too tight. Just perfect.

  • I don’t like white suits or very light coloured ones. But it’s my personal opinion. So I would say go with dark colours. Not everything has to be colourful.
  • It doesn't have to be boring! Even if you wear a suit in navy, black or grey you still can add some colours and details with your tie or accessories. Polka dots are a great way to bring energy to a suit. You can use it with your shirt or tie. Bold colours for ties, watches or bracelets look ‘cool’ too. Also a pocket square (I’m not a fan of them but…)

  • It is impossible to look pulled together when your jacket isn't buttoned. (Three-button jackets: middle button only; two-button jackets: top button only; one-button jacket: that one button.) But always unfasten your jacket buttons when you sit. No exceptions.
  • Never underestimate the value of that half inch of shirt cuff jutting out under your jacket.
  • Always go bold with your cuff-links.
  • You don’t have to wear tie with every suit.
Suits with/without tie

  • The difference between classic and cliché is often in the material.
  • Never wear a suit without a belt.
  • Brogue boots add the perfect rugged touch to your favorite casual suit.
  • You may always try different styles with your suit. Don’t hesitate to show you personality!

  • Blue jacket with black collar… My favourite. I'm also a big fan of waistcoats inside the suit jackets.

This one is a tuxedo but still... I loved it. You can use some creativity to turn these colours and style into a suit. :)

Accessory Guide for Men!

No matter what style dilemma you've recently been dealing with, there's always an accessory that will solve it. Having a bad hair day? Sort it out with a beanie which makes you look cool in cool days. You think your outfit is very simple? Just wear a trendy leather bracelet and a men necklace to make your look in a style.

Finding the right details to finish off an outfit isn't something most guys think about. From neckwear, glasses, belts, and bracelets,  there are many ways to have a ‘effortlessly stylish’ look. You just need to know which one or ones are for you. So… Here is a men's accessory guide just before Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Pick one!

  • Hats and beanies - A hat is a great addition to your outfit. Casual hats with a black framed glasses give a playful vibe and a scholar look to a business or a casual  smart look. For example, throwing on a navy or grey beanie with a navy blazer, khaki chinos or jeans, grey jumper, rugged boots, a printed scarf , and a messenger bag is a great touch. It shows you put effort into your outfit but without a big effort.

Nixon compass grey beanie: £15.96
Bench men's chorlton oversized beanie: £14.99 £11.99
Quiksilver Caribou hat black: £30
Grey wool fedora: £ 41.16
  • Glasses and Sunglasses – Sunglasses are not just for summer anymore. When you see a little sunshine just put them on. Besides in winter season if you are a snowboarder or a skier your sunglasses are for 12 months. And drivers… You never know when the sun hurts your eyes while driving. If it’s a very grey there without any sunlight then you may go with coloured framed glasses for a scholar look. In both cases be sure to know your face shape.

Oakley StyleSwitch sunglasses in crystal black black: £156.00
Reclaimed vintage round sunglasses:  £35.81

Garrett Leight 'Abbot' glasses: £219.85
  • Scarves - I know… You are tired of reading  about statement scarves but it’s such a big and important trend that I can’t finalize any posts without mentioning it. For a formal  look you may go with loop knots (fold the scarf in half and put the loose ends through the loop). For a more casual look just swing the scarf around your neck and letting both ends hang on each side.

G-Star Matthew Scarf: £80.00
G-Star Jason Scarf: £120.00
G-Star Milton Originals Scarf: £50.00
  • Belts - They say women can’t walk properly without a bag. That’s not true. But we do feel naked without a bag. That’s true.  I think the same situation must be for belts and guys. Guys (You) MUST feel themselves naked without a belt. It’s that much an essential! Belt rules are easy to get right: If your pants have belt loops, wear a belt with them. For a formal look make sure that your belt fits with your shoes. For a casual look go with ‘outstanding’ ones. Try contrast colours.

G-Star cooper belt: £60
Scotch & Soda ethnic woven blue belt: £ 24.36
Paul & Joe Emerson burgundy dotted belt: £ 71.40
Dsquared2 BELT: £84.00
Armani embossed cracked leather belt: £98.99
  • Bracelets, necklaces, and watches – I don’t know if it’s just me but I think men wearing bracelets, watches, and necklaces are very sexy! When it comes to bracelets don’t wear too many. 1-2 is enough.
- An elegant necklace or a pendant seen behind your shirt or V-neck t-shirt/jumper… Nothing can be that sexy! When it comes to chains & necklaces, always think simple, clean and a little bit traditional. Don’t go for thick gold chain ones! Never! Male chains tend to be constructed slightly thicker than their feminine counterparts, so don’t assume you’ve got to buy the heaviest looking piece.

Philipp Plein round metal men's necklace: £177.50
Icon Brand billy rock necklace: £20.00£16.00
Leather and stainless steel multicoloured necklace: £24.99

- Men who wear bracelets are mostly the trendy, cool urban/city guys who care about his look. Especially with a rolled-up sleeves they look very cool! Trust me!

  • Tribal men's brown leather bracelet: £13.15
Forzieri Di Fulco Line stainless steel men's bracelet: £63.50
Vivienne Westwood pete metal bracelet:  £85.00
Vivienne Westwood otho leather bracelet: £75.00
Cerruti stainless steel brown leather bracelet:  £75.00
Just Cavalli route brown leather and rubber bracelet: £95.85
Bottega Veneta Intrecciato oxidised silver bracelet: £335.00

A great watch makes a huge statement. Lately, affordable watches have been getting stylish upgrades from the variety of different bands available from retailers. It just needs to sync up with your lifestyle and your daily outfit. A leather strap watch is a MUST HAVE! If you accomplished this then you may have colourful or stainless steel ones too. Like any other piece in your wardrobe, your watch needs to make sense with the rest of what you're wearing.

Fossil Nate black stainless steel chronograph watches: £156.20
    ATOP unisex watch WWS-1A: £160.00 £107.00
Tissot gents T sport stainless steel bracelet watch: £260.00

  • Gloves – I must say only go for leather gloves. Maybe it’s the biker charisma or something else but men should wear only but only leather gloves. That’s my idea and I’m standing behind it! They are also functional you know. J You can keep your hands warm. Try to make it good with your watch too.

Hugo Boss leather black gloves: £75.00 £71.25
UGG Australia leather gloves: £169.00
AGNELLE Brown iPhone gloves with wool lining: £ 105

Mission Completed: Street Styles @London

I'm the kind of person who is in love with being outdoors. As I have mentioned many times before street styles are always better and more sincere than catwalk styles!
So... I walked, I walked, and I walked. In fact it was to give my friends a tour in London. I took advantage of this opportunity and prepared a street look post.

A stylish guy who I ran into on my way from Leicester Square to Covent Garden! He was very kinf to let me take his photos. Thanks again! :)

Men’s Grooming: How To Find The Perfect Beard Style?

Style is not just about clothes & accessories. It’s about how you look including facial and self-care.
As I have mentioned many times before, beard is a must for guys. Women love them! Trust me!
But not the ones like Santa; go for a stubble one! (Woman advice)
Beards have a magical power to turn a baby face into an attractive bad guy look.
So… Here are some beard shapes that you can find the perfect one for yourself. Before you grow a beard, it is best to find the right beard style for your face.

How to choose the right beard shape for yourself depends on only one factor: The shape of your face.

The Round Face
If you have a round face, go a bit longer at the chin to add length to your face. That will make your face look less round and more oval-shaped. Keep the sides of the beard short. Eg: Kenya West!

The Long Face
What you do for round face, now do exactly the opposite! Such as shorter at the chin but fuller at the sides. Eg: Dane Cook

The Square Face
This one is like the round face. You should opt for styles that make your  face appear more slender. You would want to make your face longer so one more time; shorter at the sides and longer at the chin. Eg: David Beckham!

The Triangle Face:
That means you have a pointed chin. Grow some chin hair. Your beard must look like a smiley face; add weight along the jawline and the chin. Eg: Ryan Gosling

The Oval Face
Those with oval faces are luckier than the others when it comes to beards. You can have whatever beard shape you like.

( It may seem like a geometry class but it’s not J )

MUST DO LIST while growing a beard:

  1. Choose your style carefully
  2. Keep it groomed and avoid an uneven finish.
  3. Don’t forget to let your skin breath once in a while.
  4. Moisturise!
  5. Use conditioner for your beard too.

The Ones That You Should Never Try No Matter What Your Face Shape is!

The photo of Brad Pitt is the reason why I insist on only stubble beards. If Brad Pitt couldn't pull it off, you can never pull it off. (The ugly truth)

New Motto: Streets Better Than Runways!

I've read this statement on a blog and that just draw my attention. For the last one week I realized that this is one of a damn right point!
Street styles by real people are more colourful, cooler, and more real!
And most importantly much more fun!
So I gathered together some street style photos on internet. To be honest some photographs look like catalog shootings but no; they were real people on streets!

Share this post if you agree the statement too!

City streets deserve colour!
The ones on the go: Busy guys in style
As you see streets love turns up! And bags... Men like bags.

This guy is my fav! You don't have be young or a teenager to be stylish! :)
Loved the vest and loved the glasses!

The cool and colourful framed glasses become an essential accessory for guys!

2 Guys, 2 Girls, Autumn, and Streets!

My friend B, me, and Vassilis
I always find the street style more exciting than runways.
Because people stare at me as if I'm a stalker or something when they realize that I try to take their photos on street, you have to settle down with my male friend’s street look which I am allowed t take hundreds of photos! :)

Just because the weekend was sunny doesn’t mean that it’s not going to get cloudy and cold again.
I am a person who gets cold easily and apparently so are my friends. I can also admit that I miss wearing winter outfits; warm, cosy, and soft.
On this post we –as women – took over the camera too! But just as decoration J The details are still about menswear.
You know my friend B very well now. He is a metrosexual playboy. He loves being stylish. And as a guest model we have my other friend Vassilis this time. He is a  stylish guy too but that day he joined us after gym so his style is sporty & comfy smart. J

This time Vassilis' style first! ( I am a good host)

Apparently he likes American "apparel". So do I!
Abercrombie & Fitch and Nike are my two favourite brands too. Especially the Abercrombie sweaters!
I loved his Nike trainers too. Red and navy is a good couple!

And B's style...

We love men with winter accessories! The scarf is my favourite!
Don't forget; statement scarves are very trendy this season!

It's B's winter essential: Moncler
On the left: The details of his jumper by Alexander McQueen. I really loved it. At first sight I thought it was Hugo Boss because of the style and the garment but McQueen surprised me.

This photo has nothing to do with the post but I decided to post it because I really liked it! :)
I think I took a good shot!
