Men with Stripes VS Women with Polka Dots

Nowadays men do not want to suit up classic – in other words ‘dull’. Thank God!
A new trend comes up for women almost every day so why shouldn't it be like this for men too?
This season we see striped tops many times on men’s fashion meanwhile there is a polka dot trend for women.
So let the fashion battle begin! :)
Men with Stripes VS Women with Polka Dots!

Many guys want to express their style with more than just solid colors, but try to avoid bold patterns. So; stripes are the perfect solution.

This trend seems easy for most guys to pull off, you still should keep several rules in mind.
  1. Stripes don't have to be black or navy. Try to use colourful striped outfits.
  2. Go vertical rather than horizontal.
  3. Keep it thin for business outfits/suit. You can use the thick striped ones for casual wear or weekends.
  4. If you go for a striped jumper, shirt or a pullover make sure that your trousers are in a solid colour; also a contrast colour.
  5. Please stay away from the striped trousers. You can only wear them if it’s a nice pinstripe suit.

TOMs, one of the most trendy brand nowadays, have both striped and polka dot shoes. Lucky us!

Going Stubble - tempting and hot!

Ok. Here is the thing. We- women- LOVE stubble. But the keyword here is “stubble” not “full”.
Somehow it makes men sexy and more attractive. We also love the feeling of it.
Let’s face it! The clean shaven is “old” and not very welcomed when it comes being in trend.
Apparently according to the news the quality of the beard you grow becomes a marker of masculinity, out there on display to the world. So this might be one of the reasons. But ‘giving a bad boy look’ might be a stronger reason. J

However I was really surprised when I read the news in today's DailyMail.co.uk - in the past 5 years the number of men getting beard "hair plugs" has sextupled, with 4,500 procedures performed last year alone. According to the same news number of men opting for 'transplants' up six-fold in past 5 years!

Let's start with good and tempting examples;
If George Clooney, BradleyCooper, Jude Law and Ryan Gosling (as the best stubble looks ever) have it, there is no harm to give it a shot at least. But try to look rough not haggard…

I think I don’t have to tell you how you should shave or what products you should use. You are an adult men. You should know. J

But you can get inspired by one of these looks!

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE! :)

HEAT UP THE STYLE: From Turn Ups to Turn On(s)!

As a woman I have to admit that some styles are such a turn on. Turn ups are one of them. They are sophisticated metropolitan styles.
Plus; perfect to show off the shoes! Flashing ankle peps up a boring shirt/jumper/T-shirt/hoodie without that much effort.
It’s not just me! 'Revealing the ankle can be sexy,' said a good-humoured Giorgio Armani after a runway show.

Prada Ready to Wear AW 2013 at Milan

And according to the article published on the Guardian; designers in Milan and London are also backing the short trouser look, from Alexander McQueen (worn with pinstripe socks and brogue-slippers), to Prada (no socks), Kenzo (worn with ski-boots) to Tom Ford (worn with socks and formal shoes).

We all saw this trend last year on runways. Now it's time to act on it! :)

Here are some turned up style that can inspire you!

Turn ups are the best way to make your look stylish & trendy!

Sunday Style @ Country Club

I was dreaming about a lazy Sunday at home but somehow I found my self in a horse jumping show at a Country Club at 9 am.
To be honest it was fun and full of adrenalin.
While I was watching the show I was also watching the people around too. The audiences were  stylish as much as the riders. In a casual way...

There are many colourful styles as you can see in the photos but white t-shirt and bermudas were the stars of the day. In addition white is used with colourful outfits. White t-shirt with mustard coloured bermuda or white trousers with green polo t-shirts. Colourful shoes are the ones that I liked most.

Appereantly ATVs are quite popular in country side.

Enjoy the ride. :)

MAN UP: 15 STYLE RULES TO LIVE BY

When it comes to your closet, you’ll need a couple of great-fitting suits (at least one made-to-measure—trust us), some pants that aren’t jeans, a great bag, a few sweaters, sharp shirts and ties, and a pair of shoes that you plan to take care of for a while, to start. There are rules to manning up.

  1. Every man should own one made to measure suit. Or two.
  2. Worth the money: cashmere socks. Trust us.
  3. You should know how to sew on a button. Leave everything else to the professionals.
  4. Accessories should be accessories, not affectations. If you have to think too much about it, skip it.
  5. A pocket square should complement—not match—your tie. When in doubt, a white linen handkerchief always looks sharp.
  6. Every man should know how to tie a bow tie, even if your occasions to wear one are few and far between.
  7. Well-made shoes can have you covered for 10 years or more. Return the favor with shoe trees and a polish now and then.
  8. Narrow tie, small collar. Traditional tie, full size collar. Simple.
  9. Some things look better with age. White shirts are not those things.
  10. Yes, real men get manicures.
  11. The thinner the wallet, the better. Who wants to ruin the lines of your suit?
  12. Learn to layer. There’s no reason to have only one way to wear one piece. Practice makes perfect.
  13. You may get special treatment at the airport if you have beautiful luggage. And if you don’t get special treatment, you still have beautiful luggage.
  14. Yes, you can wear a turtleneck. Two words: Steve McQueen.
  15. Remember: come winter, your topcoat will be the first thing (and sometimes, the only thing) people see when they see you. Invest accordingly.
