RIPPED JEANS: 5 REASONS YOU SHOULD TRY
Take on the latest denim trend set to go
big this summer
Words By Chantelle Symester via TopManMagazine
- DON'T GO OTT You needn't look like you've been dragged at 50mph down the road by your jeans nor should you opt for the 'shabby chic' - read hobo look (we promise you, it doesn't look good). The great thing about Topman's latest ripped jean's range is that there are just enough slits and rips to make it look cool rather than try hard or just plain wrong.
- STAY UP ON THE TRENDS The distressed look is making a comeback this season and these subtle knee slits on these spray on style jeans will make sure you are way ahead of the curve. (Plus it'll be extra ventilation when it gets a bit hotter).
- DARK DENIM= SUBTLE Still too shy to try - work with a darker colour which will tone the look down.
- ADD SOME DETAIL TO DRESSED DOWN ATTIRE When your simple everyday attire needs a bit of a life why not throw on some ripped spray ons? It's an easy, instant update and pretty much a no-brainer.

L O O K OF THE D A Y by Marc, Christopher, and John! :)
Here is a “Look of the day” for students or
freelancers and “Weekend Look” for those who are at the office during the
weekday.
1. Jeans, Marc Jacobs. Marc knows the
fashion! I already LOVE his women’s collections, and I also do LOVE his men’s
collections. To be honest, his men’s collections are better than women’s
sometimes. When it comes to jeans, let’s
be adventurous and leave Diesel aside for a while, huh?
2. Jumper, Christopher Shannon. Knitwear is
already a trend that we know. If you look for a ‘statement knit’ here it is! It’s
cool, simple, and perfect!
3. Boots, John Varvatos. When it comes to
shoes/boots women know better! So hear what I say here… If you want to buy
shoes/boots remember that there isn't any cool style with cheap shoes.

HEAT UP THE STYLE: From Turn Ups to Turn On(s)!
As a woman
I have to admit that some styles are such a turn on. Turn ups are one of them. They
are sophisticated metropolitan styles.
Plus;
perfect to show off the shoes! Flashing ankle peps up a boring
shirt/jumper/T-shirt/hoodie without that much effort.
It’s not
just me! 'Revealing the ankle can be sexy,' said a good-humoured Giorgio
Armani after a runway show.
Prada Ready to Wear AW 2013 at Milan |
And according to the article published on the Guardian; designers in Milan and London are also backing the short trouser look, from Alexander McQueen (worn with pinstripe socks and brogue-slippers), to Prada (no socks), Kenzo (worn with ski-boots) to Tom Ford (worn with socks and formal shoes).
We all saw this trend last year on runways.
Now it's time to act on it! :)
Here are some turned up style that can
inspire you!
